Application for Service

Application for Pre-paid Service (Pre-paid Service requires Application for Service completed first)

Authorization for Release of Information Form

If there has never been service at your property, a staking technician will meet with you to determine the best location for and the requirements of your new service. New services include installation of a main disconnect switch under the meter for services 200 amps and under. For larger services, equipment will be provided by the member. All members' wiring should be done by a qualified electrician and must comply with the National Electric Code.

Credit Evaluation

Routine credit evaluations are part of the membership sign-up process for all new accounts. Everyone who signs up for membership, whether it is a first-time member, or an existing member setting up a new service, will be subject to a credit evaluation to determine whether there will be a deposit due, and how much that deposit will be. If a deposit is required, the amount will be either $250 or $500, depending on credit evaluation results. Prospective members who prefer not to divulge their Social Security number to the cooperative will be charged the full $500 Deposit.  Deposits will be applied towards the final bill at time of disconnect with any remaining deposit balance being refunded.

Transfer of Electric Service

When you move out, and another person moves into your residence or business, you are responsible for the electric bill until a request for transfer is made.

Reconnection Charge after Disconnection

Any account which is disconnected two times for nonpayment within twelve (12) months that does not have an existing deposit will be required to pay a $500 deposit in addition to any delinquent amounts, trip charges and late fees before service will be restored.

When You Move

If you are planning to move and no longer want service, please notify the cooperative in advance of the date you want the meter disconnected. We will get a final reading and apply your deposit (if any) to your final bill. If the final bill is less than the deposit, the cooperative will refund the difference or transfer it to an active account.
